Keep the date free -17th October 2018. This day is declared by the UN General Assembly to promote awareness of the need to eradicate poverty and destitution in all countries
Thrive are having a gathering of solidarity to raise awareness of poverty in Stockton on Tees and will be out on the streets of Stockton High Street on 17th October from 11:00 onwards.
Thrive feel that this is an opportunity for all organisations and individuals who work tirelessly, supporting people with direct experience of poverty. We are therefore looking for a visible show of solidarity on the day and promote the need to eradicate poverty in our community.
Thrive recognise and acknowledge all the hard work going on in Stockton to support people who are struggling to get by, but we also know that there is still work to be done and hurdles to overcome to make Stockton a better town to live.

Wherever men and women are condemned to live in extreme poverty, human rights are violated. To come together to ensure that these rights be respected is our solemn duty.
